Moradabad (UP), Aug 15 (ANI): A young artist from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh has mastered a unique technique to draw and sketch portraits based on different religious verses and thus spread the message of communal amity and peace.

Unlike artists who use different colours and shades for their paintings, this young artist named Juhaib, in his mid-20s, uses verses and passages from various religious scriptures or holy books to add zing to his portraits.

Juhaib developed these exceptional traits in his sketching with an aim to propagate oneness and harmony among all sections of society.

"I have tried to depict all religious faiths Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christian in my sketches especially in our nation's tri-colour flag where I have written the Quran's verses in the saffron colour and the Bhagavad-Gita verses in green colour and in Gurumukhi script, I have made Ashok Chakra of the flag. Through my sketches I want to spread the message that we all belong to one country and are all under one flag," said Juhaib.

Juhaib has also worked on several innovative ideas and themes such as sketching the portraits of freedom fighters to several Indian monuments.

"I have also made Taj Mahal using verses from the Holy Quran and I have not drawn or used any line or shade in making this portrait. Along with that I have prepared Bhagat Singh's portrait repeatedly using the phrase 'Hum Sab Ek Hain' (All of us are one) in Urdu on it," he said.

Juhaib has been practicing art from the age of six. What stands him out is his experimental approach towards art with a social message that provides him an edge over others.

Some of his notable works though not created with a religious links are the portraits of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, tennis player Sania Mirza and revolutionary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. (ANI)
