Suraj Kund a city, which has been hosting Suraj Kund Crafts Fair for two decades now, is all set to welcome all the crafts and art lovers to its soil.

First started in 1987, Suraj Kund Crafts Fair is all about portrayal of finest handicrafts, handlooms, art works and tradition of a state or country. This year it will start on Feb 1 and will end on Feb 15. This two weeks long Fair, will be a platform for visitors to see the talent and work of 400 and more renowned craftsman from all over India and also from many foreign countries. Now renowned world over Suraj Kund Crafts Fair recorded a footfall of 7.5 lakh last year and this it is expecting it to reach above 10 lakh.

SAARC countries, Kyrgystan, Uzbekistan, Congo and the Fair partner Thailand (the Chief Guest of Republic Day Celebration as well) have send their best crafts person to showcase the colors of their respective countries. Besides, this year state theme (which changes every year) is of Assam land of Lord Brahma and river Brahmputra. It will showcase its unique culture, traditions, music, folk dances and handicrafts.

One can roam and enjoy the Fair and at the same time can buy the things they like. Cultural programs will start from 6pm and will go on till 10pm. However, the Fair entry is from 9:30am in the morning till 7pm in the evening.
