Indian National Congress Secretary General Rahul Gandhi continued to attract the media attention in the second year consecutively by delivering speech regarding anti-corruption, social reforming, minorities and depressed welfare, and Lokpal bill. He was also in news for his alleged 'irresponsible' act of breeching the security protocol and protest march in Bhatta Parsaul (a village of west Uttar Pradesh).
In the whole year, Rahul targeted the Uttar Pradesh and most of the time spent in the state. During his so called 'election campaign', he criticised the Mayawati government, and Samajwadi Party for low development of the state.
Rahul's statement over Lokpal bill for making it a constitutional body was hailed everyone and attracted huge media attention.
