Devotees throng to temples on first day of Navratri
Faizabad/Guwahati/Gorakhpur/Jammu, Mar 18 (ANI): Scores of devotees thronged to famous temples across the nation to offer prayers on the first day of Navratri. Devotees visited Badi Devkali Devi in Faizabad to pray to the goddess. Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati is all decked up with flowers on the first day of Navratri. Heavy rush was reported at Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu’s Katra. Gorakhpur’s Kali Mandir received heavy footfall on the first day of Navratri. The festival of Chaitra Navratri begins today and will culminate on March 26. In Chaitra Navratri, Goddess Durga is worshipped in her nine avatars during Chaitra Navratri.
