As a prelude to the 6thAirtel Delhi Half Marathon (ADHM) 2013, Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Group of Companies, organized a special felicitation ceremony today for the young Satya Bharti School ‘Student Sports Stars’.
These children have represented their school at the inter-school sports competition. Donovan Bailey, International Event Ambassador, Airtel Delhi Half Marathon- 2013 and Olympic 100 meter champion and World record holder interacted and awarded the students for their remarkable efforts in the field of sports.
Bharti Foundation has corporate organizations and individuals running for the empowerment of students, teachers and communities. In the last five years of the event, the Foundation has raised awareness about the significance of sports as an element of quality education in the villages of India. Since 2008, it has successfully brought together more than 4,000 employees across 59 corporate houses, more than 200 students and over 1000 individuals, raising resources for its schools and education of underprivileged children.
