YC Modi appointed as Additional Director in CBI
New Delhi, June 30 (ANI): Senior IPS officer YC Modi was on Tuesday appointed as the Additional Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Modi had been part of a Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT) that probed 2002 Gujarat riots cases. Modi is presently working as Additional Director General of Police in Shillong. Rupak Kumar Dutta, Additional Director, CBI, has been appointed as Special Director in CBI by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. Dutta, a 1981 batch Karnataka cadre IPS officer, has been associated with the investigations of a number of sensitive matters including 2G scam case.
