Wreath laying ceremony held for martyr of Bandipora Altaf Ahmad in Srinagar
Srinagar, Oct 07 (ANI): A wreath laying ceremony was held for Police Sub Inspector Altaf Ahmad who was martyred in firing with militants while chasing them in Bandipora district of Jammu & Kashmir on Wednesday. The ceremony was held in Srinagar capital of Jammu and Kashmir where floral tributes were paid to the martyr. J&K Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah were present at the ceremony. Inspector General of Police SJM Gillani said that Altaf was a big loss and he has done tremendous work on the anti terrorist front. Gillani also briefed about the incident and said that the operation was still on.
