Workshop in Bangalore to sensitize police on sexual abuse cases
Bangalore, July 29 (ANI): Civil society and the police organized a seminar recently to spread awareness on child abuse matters and new legal provisions among police officials in Bangalore. Bangalore Police Commissioner, M N Reddi, stressed upon upgrading the awareness and knowledge among police officers about POCSO. The city of Bangalore and the issue of child safety featured in news when a student of first grade, in one of the city's schools was assaulted by the skating instructor on July 02 who was arrested on July 20. Senior Manager of World Vision, Wesley said they were working with the government to resolve the issue of child protection.
