Watch: PM Modi takes dig on row over IPL venue shifting
Pune, June 25 (ANI): Taking a dig at those who demanded shifting of Indian Premier League (IPL) matches from Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the pitches need to be watered throughout the year. The Prime Minister, who launched the smart city project earlier today, added that the state suffered huge losses due to the IPL row. 13 IPL matches were shifted post 30 April after a Mumbai-based NGO petitioned the Bombay High Court, challenging the use of over 60 lakh litres of water to maintain pitches.
