Watch: No help comes forward as 70-year-old farmer dies in bank queue

Thanjavur, Dec 04 (ANI): A 70-year-old farmer died while waiting in a queue to withdraw cash from a bank near Papanasam in Tamil Nadu's Thanjavur district on Saturday. M Subramanian(70), from Vaazhkai village near Papanasam, stood with his wife Thaiyyalnayagi in a queue outside a branch of Indian Bank on East Street of Papanasam. Just as he was about to withdraw cash from the bank, all of sudden he fell unconscious. From the video, it appears that none came forward to assist or revive the old man who was lying on his wife's lap waiting for ambulance. A doctor was rushed to the spot but the man had died by then.Subramanian 's bank account had balance of Rs 17,000 . The Papanasam Police made arrangements to send the man's body to his home town Vaazhkai.
