Watch: Muslim family celebrating Janmashtami in Kanpur for last 30 years
Kanpur, Aug 25 (ANI): In Kanpur's Barra Vishwa Bank locality, Lord Krishna takes birth at a Muslim devotee's residence. With the whole country celebrating Janmashtami on Thursday, Dr. S. Ahmed too celebrates Lord Krishna's birthday with much fervour. Dr. Ahmed, along with his family, has been celebrating Janmashtami for the last 30 years at his residence by performing all necessary rituals related to Lord Krishna's birth, which they say strengthen the bonding between Hindu and Muslim communities. People gather in large numbers to see Lord Krishna's tableau set up by Dr. Ahmed at his house. Hindus in the locality look up to Ahmed for setting a precedent of the Hindu-Muslim unity.
