Watch: Bathukamma festivities at Gandhi Bhavan
Hyderabad, Oct 01 (ANI): A number of women enthusiastically participated in the festivities marking the floral festival of 'Bathukamma' at the Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad. Gandhi Bhavan is a regional office of the Congress party. Bathukamma is a colourful and vibrant festival of Telangana, celebrated by women, as a symbol of state's cultural identity. The festival falls before the onset of winters. The women folk dress up in their best, adorn ornaments, carry a flowers-made pattern called 'Bathukammalu', which is immersed into a water body. This year, the festival that marks cultural spirit of Telangana, falls from October 1st to 10th. Women workers of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) also drenched in the joyous celebrations of the festival.
