V Prez: Ansari thanks for re nomination by Congress
New Delhi/ Kolkata, July 15 (ANI): Vice President Hamid Ansari has thanked the Congress led UPA for nominating him again as its candidate in the ensuing election for the post of Vice President. Meanwhile the Nationalist Congress Party, a key ally of the UPA too hailed the candidature of Ansari. However, a major coalition partner of UPA, the Trinamool Congress, which had also opposed the candidature of Presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee, has not made its stand clear on Ansaris candidature for the post of Vice President. The BJP led NDA would be meeting on Monday to decide its Vice Presidential candidate. Election is scheduled to take place on August 7.
