US Envoy exhorts students to help build closer Indo-US relations
New Delhi, May 28 (ANI): The United States Ambassador to India, Richard Verma on Thursday exhorted students to help build closer relations between the two countries. Addressing a gathering of students in the US Embassy in Delhi on the occasion of Students Visa Day, Verma credited Indian students going to the US for higher studies with bringing the two countries together. He also handed over passports to two students going to the US to pursue higher studies. Last year, 103,000 Indian students went to the US for higher studies. Verma also emphasised on greater people-to-people contacts.
