Trial passenger train from Silchar reaches Tripura
Agartala, May 04 (ANI): The first broad gauge passenger trial train from Assam's Silchar railway station to Tripura capital city, Agartala, started on Tuesday after the conversion work was completed recently. The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to start trial trains between Silchar and Agartala and vice-versa. Last night, a train from Silchar successfully reached Agartala. During the trial run, the speed of the train went up to 100 km/hour. Two trains will run between Silchar and Agartala on experimental run. Regular broad gauge train service is likely to be inaugurated by the end of this month.
