Telangana MP K. Kavitha celebrates Bathukamma in London
London, Oct 01 (ANI): Member of Parliament (MP) from Telangana and founder of Telangana Jagruthi K. Kavitha celebrated the floral festival of Bathukamma with the Telugu community in London on Saturday.Yesterday, she celebrated the festival in Dubai. With these steps, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader has taken the festival of Telangana's cultural identity to a global level. Bathukamma is a colourful and vibrant festival of Telangana, celebrated by women, as a symbol of state's cultural identity. The festival falls before the onset of winters. The women folk dress up in their best, adorn ornaments, carry a flowers-made pattern called 'Bathukammalu', which is immersed into a water body. This year, the festival that marks cultural spirit of Telangana, falls from October 1st to 10th.
