TMC protests demanding withdrawal of Army from toll plazas
Kolkata, Dec 02 (ANI): Leaders of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) party staged a ‘dharna’ outside the Raj Bhavan demanding withdrawal of the Army from toll plazas across West Bengal today. Carrying placards and raising slogans, the party workers and supporters condemned the Centre for deploying Army personnel at toll booths in Palsit and Dankuni on NH-2. The issue has stirred a row as West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee remains inside her Kolkata office for over 24 hours now demanding pullback of army.
