Surjeet Singh released from Pak jail after 30 years
Karachi, June 28 (ANI): Indian prisoner Surjeet Singh, who has spent almost 30 years in Pakistan jail on charges of spying in the 1980s, has been freed from Lahore's Kot Lakhpat Jail today. According to reports, the Pakistani Policemen are escorting Singh to the Wagah International Border crossing, where he will be handed over to Indian authorities. Surjeet s family has already left for Wagah to receive him. Meanwhile, Pakistan has also freed 311 Indian fishermen who had completed their jail sentences after being arrested for entering Pakistani territorial waters while fishing. The released fishermen included 18 juvenile prisoners who were lodged in the Youthful Offenders' School adjacent to Karachi Central Jail during their imprisonment.
