Supreme Court's verdict on Judge Loya's death receives mixed reactions

New Delhi, Apr 19 (ANI): The Supreme Court has on Thursday dismissed petitions seeking the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Judge B.H. Loya's death case. The case received mixed reactions from different fraternities. Senior Advocate Salman Khurshid said that people expected that the Supreme Court should have gone a bit deeper in the case. Joint Commissioner of Police, Shivaji Bodhke said, "The Nagpur police have done the investigation in professional manner. We have presented evidences and documents based on which the Supreme Court gave its verdict. His death happened as per the scientific investigation due to coronary artery insufficiency." On the other hand, former District Judge of Mumbai KB Katke said, "The petitions were based on rumours spread by some interested people. There was no suspicion at all in the death of Judge BH Loya. Had there been any doubt, the Supreme Court would have directed some enquiry."
