Skills training under Learn & Earn Scheme in J&K

Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, Dec 09 (ANI): Several institutes and groups in Jammu & Kashmir are training young students under the Government of India’s Learn & Earn scheme.
This scheme has become an employment-generation tool for a large section of minority people.
Young unemployed students get to learn various new skills and education under this program. At the same time, the scheme will also help them earn while learning. The scheme is helping the people of Jammu & Kashmir in several ways. A large number of teachers have been hired to train the students, thus creating job opportunities. Students get to learn multi-disciplinary skills under one-roof. Also, they get scholarships which in turn help their families. As students below poverty line fail to get admission in good coaching institutes, this scheme has really proved to be beneficial. After getting training, these young ones seek loan assistance from banks to run their own small ventures. Sometimes they pool their own resources and start a business of their own. Such schemes not only help students but contribute to the economic development of the state as well as the country.
