Situation under control, district administration taking proper care: CM Kumaraswamy on Karnataka floods

Kodagu (Karnataka), Aug 18 (ANI): Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy conducted aerial survey of landslides and flood-hit regions in Kodagu on Saturday. At least six people have died and over 11,000 houses are damaged in the recent floods. Speaking after his aerial, CM Kumaraswamy said, "Situation is under control, district administration is taking proper care. Nearly 60 people are stuck in a village in Kodagu and Indian Army has reached there. We are arranging helicopters but the weather is not allowing us to fly." Over 1000 security personnel including NDRF, Navy, Army, Fire Department, Home Guards are conducting rescue operations in the region, informed CM Kumaraswamy. The Chief Minister has also ordered officials directed to give a list of roads which are damaged, and start repair work.
