Sikh community in Kochi supplies food to relief camps
Kochi (Kerala), Aug 20 (ANI): The Sikh community in flood-ravaged Kerala’s Kochi district is extending their help the flood victims by preparing food and providing it to relief camps in several parts of Kochi. The coordinator of the Sikh community in Kochi said, “From last three days we are serving food to more than 1000 people. We're preparing food inside Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in hygienic conditions.” He added, “We feel honoured that we are able to serve good food to the flood victims.” Kerala struggles with flood situation due to havoc created by incessant rains since past 10 days. The devastating floods in the state have claimed over 357 lives so far, with over two lakh people sheltered in relief camps.
