Shinde as HM: Ready to shoulder responsibility
New Delhi, Aug 01 (ANI): Newly appointed Home Minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde expressed his gratitude to the Congress Party, including its chief, Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and said that he is prepared to lead from the front one of the most sensitive ministries in the country. Former Home Minister P Chidambaram is back as the new Finance Minister with Shinde replacing him. Interacting with reporters in New Delhi, Shinde lauded the Congress for being supportive and unbiased towards its members. Shinde stressed on the need to foster communication with states to facilitate a healthy relationship. Meanwhile, commenting on the power crisis, Shinde said that the department worked diligently to restore power.
