Shettar reassures safety of NE Community

New Delhi, Aug 17 (ANI): Karnataka Chief Minister, Jagadish Shettar today said that the security arrangements in the northeast dominated areas of Bangalore and other parts of the state have been tightened to dissolve any rumours of threat to their community. The sudden migration of thousands of northeastern students and residents from Bangalore on Thursday resulted in a high level meeting of the state administration. Addressing media persons after the meeting, Shettar said that he had assured the leaders of the northeast community of their safety. Shettar also made an appeal to the fleeing northeastern people not to panic and trust the state administration.
