Security forces gun down Maoist rebel
Kondagaon, Chhattisgarh, Sep 27 (ANI): A Maoist rebel was gunned down by security forces during an encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Kondagaon town. The rebel was killed in a joint operation of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police ITBP) and District Reserve Guards (DRG) of Kondagaon that continued for half an hour. Additional Superintendent of Police Maheshwar Nag said explosives, detonator and landmines were seized from the encounter site. The body was found along with a rifle. A detonator, grenade, explosives, landmines, wires, switches and other items were also seized.
