Gorakhpur, May 04 (ANI): Armed Border Force or the 'Sashastra Seema Bal' sent relief material for victims in quake-hit Nepal, arranged with their own salaries. Soldiers and officers training at SSB camp of Gorakhpur district in Uttar Pradesh contributed a small amount from their salaries besides helping National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in rescue operations. The relief material would reach Nepal in two lorries by road for the people living in makeshift camps. The 7.9 magnitude quake that struck last Saturday (April 25) killed over 7,000 people and left hundreds of thousands homeless when it destroyed parts of the capital Kathmandu and flattened villages across a wide swath of the country.
