SONOWAL INSTRUCTS IOA OVER SARITA DEVIS SUSPENSION
With AIBA suspending Indian boxer Sarita Devi for her refusal to accept the bronzed medal at the Asian Games podium ceremony, we saw the Sports Authority of India come out and speak exclusively on revoking the suspension. Now Union Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has also started mounting pressure on the Indian Olympic Association to take up Sarita Devi’s suspension at the international forum and push for withdrawing the ban imposed on the Indian woman boxer.
