SGPC condemns US Gurudwara shooting
Amritsar/Chandigarh, Aug 06 (ANI): Condemning the shooting incident at a Gurudwara in the US, the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandhak Committee (SGPC) has urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to take up the matter with the concerned authorities and ensure legal action in the case. President of the apex Sikh body, Avtar Singh Makkar, said the shocking incident has hurt the feelings of Sikh community across the world. Meanwhile, the Minister of States for External Affairs Preneet Kaur has said that India will ensure fast and prompt action in the case. Locals have also expressed grief and pain saying the Indian government should protest the incident and ensure that such incidents are not repeated in future.
