SC refers Yakub Memon's death penalty to a larger bench

New Delhi, July 28 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday referred the curative plea of 1993 Mumbai serial blasts convict Yakub Memon, seeking stay of his scheduled execution on July 30, to a larger bench. The apex court bench comprising of Justices AR Dave and Kurian Joseph differed on the issue of entertaining the plea of Memon, the sole death row convict in the Mumbai serial blasts case. Chief Justice HL Dattu will constitute a larger bench. The matter will be heard tomorrow.
