Rs 500 Crore relief not enough after 80% Kerala destroyed: CM Chandrababu Naidu

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), Aug 20 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu addressed mediapersons in Amaravati on Monday. CM Naidu said, “Kerala is worst hit with floods this year. This is a national calamity. I call on all the people to come forward, show their humanity. This is not only for Kerala, whenever and wherever such calamities occur, people should respond. Central government announced only Rs 500 Crore. It is not correct. Whereas 80% of Kerala is destroyed, giving mere Rs 500 Crore is not enough. Centre should respond much higher than the responding states. They should help Kodagu region in Karnataka also. Centre, at the time of Hudhud cyclone, announced Rs 1000 Crore, gave lesser amount only. Centre should not act in a reserved manner, I demand they should be pro active in helping the worst hit Kerala.”
