Retired paramilitary personnel protests over OROP
New Delhi, Feb 20 (ANI): A group of retired paramilitary personnel on Monday protested by demanding grant of special pay, One Rank One Pension (OROP) and other benefits for the ex-servicemen in New Delhi. An ex-servicemen also collapsed during the protest and was later hospitalised. OROP has been a long-established demand of the Indian armed forces and veterans to give same pension, for same rank, irrespective of the date of retirement. Earlier in November 2016 a group of veterans had hold a three-day protest to raise their demands regarding the unconditional OROP.
