Rescued Indians arrive from quake-hit Nepal, recount experience

New Delhi, April 26 (ANI): Around 377 more Indians arrived in New Delhi in wee hours on Sunday (April 26) in two air force aircrafts from earthquake-hit Nepal and said they saw death from close quarters. A rescued Indian national, Ajay, said that he was terrified when he saw the destruction. The earthquake, centred 50 miles (80 km) east of the second city, Pokhara, was all the more destructive for being shallow. Meanwhile, arrangements were made in stately house, Karnataka Bhavan, for Indian nationals to take rest. The powerful earthquake that struck Nepal sent tremors through northern India, where 44 people were reported killed in the quake and its aftershocks.
