Regional parties protest outside Pakistan embassy against Kashmiri separatists

New Delhi/ Srinagar, April 19 (ANI): Members of two regional parties on Sunday protested outside Pakistan embassy in New Delhi against separatist leaders who held a pro-Pakistani rally in Jammu and Kashmir. People from Jammu and Kashmir's National Panthers Party (NPP) and Aam Aadmi Sena staged a protest against separatist leaders Masarat Alam and Syed Ali Shah Geelani. On Wednesday, Alam had organised a rally in Srinagar to welcome Geelani as he arrived in the valley after several months. The supporters raised pro-Pakistan slogans and waved Pakistani flags. Alam was arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Geelani was put under house arrest. Protesters said that even though the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was in coalition with People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Jammu and Kashmir, it was not doing enough in the matter.
