Raje pushes for more funds from Centre for maintenance of national highways in State

New Delhi, April 18 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje met the Union Minister for Road Transport and National Highways Nitin Gadkari and suggested for allocation of adequate funds for maintenance of the national highways(NH) passing through the state. Raje informed Gadkari that condition of the NH roads was not good and it was causing inconvenience in smooth passage of vehicular traffic on these roads. The chief minister brought to his notice that certain roads in the state were not being maintained by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and that the state government was providing funds for maintenance from its own resources. Raje said that the Uniara-Nainwa-Gulabpura-Shahpura (NH 148D), Ooncha-Nangla-Dhaulpur (NH 132), Manoharpur-Dausa-Lalsot (NH 11A and Extension) etc. are among the sections on which the state government carried out maintenance works from its resources.
