President Pranab Mukherjee remembers late APJ Abdul Kalam
Onboard, July 28 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday remembered late Former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and said that he had a mighty mind. Remembering the old days, Mukherjee said that after 1977, Kalam was elected as the President of India unopposed. He further said that although Kalam was ageing, but he was a very jovial person and hence the news of his death was not expected. Kalam collapsed after a massive cardiac arrest while delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management in Shillong last evening. The government has declared a seven-day national mourning as a mark of respect for Dr. Kalam, who played a stellar role in advancing India's nuclear programme.
