Pranab gives Khel Ratna to Vijay and Yogeshwar
New Delhi, Aug 30 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee, conferred the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna the countrys top sports award to medal winning Olympic shooter Vijay Kumar and wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt respectively in New Delhi. Both were awarded with a medallion, a citation and a cash award of 750,000 rupees each. Notable among the 25 Arjuna Awardees were archers Deepika Kumari and Laishram Bombayla Devi, badminton players Ashwini Ponnappa and Parupalli Kashyap, cricketer Yuvraj Singh, hockey player Sardar Singh, wrestler Geeta Phogat and specially abled athlete Deepa Malik.
