Popiah Je Thai Style Spring Roll
Ingredients
Popiah (Spring roll) sheet
Chopped Garlic - 1/2 tsp
Curry powder - a pinch
Carrot
Onion
Red, Green & yellow Bell peppers
Spring onion stock
Shiitake(Black) mushroom
Cabbage
Glass noodles
Coriander root paste - 1 tbsp
Thin Soy sauce - 1/2 tsp
Aromat seasoning - 1/2 tsp
Oil for frying
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic and sauté it until its golden brown.
2. Then add onion, carrot, bell peppers, cabbage, shiitake (black) mushroom and sauté all the vegetables till it becomes soft and tender.
3. Add some coriander root paste, spring onion stock, a pinch of curry powder, aromat seasoning and half tsp of thin soya sauce.
4. Don't let the vegetables cook too much since it has to be crunchy
5. Soak the glass noodles in cold water, then chopped it and add to the vegetable mixture.
6. Make a flour paste by mixing tbsp all purpose flour with 1 tsp water.
7. Stuff vegetable mixture into the spring roll sheet, roll it at the end apply the flour paste and deep fry it.
8. Serve it with sweet chilli sauce and plum sauce.
