Politicos welcome the historic land swap between India and Bangladesh

New Delhi/Kolkata, August 01 (ANI): Politicos on Saturday welcomed the historic landmark land boundary agreement (LBA) between India and Bangladesh which came into effect from Friday midnight. Bangladesh and India on Friday midnight swapped adversely held enclaves for almost 60-years, thus marking the implementation of historic landmark land boundary agreement (LBA) between the two countries. The two nations swapped 162 enclaves of land located in one country but officially belonging to the other, over four decades after the neighbours first tried to untangle complex territorial rights set down in 1713. Established by a treaty between two former princely states, on Friday midnight, those stranded, landlocked 111 Indian enclaves in Bangladesh and 51 Bangladesh plots in India hoisted national flags in all enclaves to assume sovereignty. People of these nations have choice to choose their citizenship.
