Politicos react as Agra witnesses reconversion to Islam following 'ghar wapsi'
New Delhi, May 03 (ANI): Political leaders on Sunday react after Agra witnessed reconversion to Islam following 'ghar wapsi'. A family of 17 members in Agra said it returned to their original faith after having converted to Hinduism last year. The ceremony was conducted in the presence of senior Imam, Ahley Sunnat Muddassir Khan Qadri. Reacting on the same, Congress slammed the central government for being religious and promoting such ideas. Minister of State External Affairs Ministry General (retd) VK Singh said that the government never favoured such things and that individual thoughts should be taken individuality. VHP leader Prakash Sharma said that the UP government has given liberty to a special religion only and that there should be a strong law on conversion. Other political leaders too condemned the reconversion.
