Police use teargas to disperse students demanding ILP permit

Imphal, May 28 (ANI): Police personnel fired teargas shells to disperse hundreds of schoolchildren who were marching towards Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh's bunglow demanding immediate implementation of the Inner Line Permit System. As per reports, four students were injured in the clash that took place in Kwakeithel Bazar. Various Manipur residents have been urging the government to give assent to the three anti-migrant bills, which were passed in the state assembly on August 31, 2015. The permit has already been enforced in Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Nagaland.
