Police recover huge cache of arms from Maoist hideout in Jharkhand
Bokaro, Mar 03 (ANI): Police in Jharkhand recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from a Maoist hideout in the region. Acting on a tip off police and paramilitary forces raided the Maoist hideout in Morpa forest region in which they blew off rebels' bunker and recovered arms and ammunition along with their belongings. The Maoists have operated for decades across a wide swath of central and eastern India, and grew in strength during recent times. They have killed police and politicians and targeted government buildings and railway tracks in an insurgency that has killed thousands since the 1960s.
