Police recover explosives in huge amount in Jharkhand
Jharkhand, Mar 4 (ANI): Police have recovered explosives and other items used for making bombs in Lohardaga district of Jharkhand. The items in huge amount were seized from a man who supplied them to Maoists. The police, acting on a tip-off, sent a team to Bandi village for search operation from where they arrested the man identified as Karamdayal Munda. Ratan added Munda also supplied food to the Maoists. The police are interrogating him to find out the places where he used to deliver these explosives. Meanwhile, in Palamu district of the state, armed Maoists attacked a construction site on National Highway 75. They beat up the workers and halted their work. The Maoists have operated for decades across a wide swath of central and eastern India, and grew in strength during recent times in areas where poor, tribal villagers came into conflict with mining companies seeking resources for industrialization.
