Police nabs four members of ‘Chaddi Banian’ gang

Mumbai, Feb 08 (ANI): The Mumbai Police arrested four members of notorious ‘Chaddi Banian’ gang. The gang entered a house and attacked a woman in Mumbai on Sunday, triggering a night-long siege and shootout in the city's Borivali area. Cops disclosed that at least two of the gang members are still present in the house in Borivali's Shimpoli neighbourhood, whose residents reported hearing gunshots through the night. The ‘Chaddi Banian’ gang refers to groups of violent gangs operating in several parts of India. They attack wearing only undergarments and cover their faces. One of the eyewitnesses Joshna Khichadai on Monday said it was around 3.45 in the morning that when she opened the door and saw that four-five men were chased by the police. She further said that the policemen later asked her to go inside the house.
