Police kills two hardcore Maoists after fierce gunbattle in Jharkhand
Simdega, Sep 02 (ANI): Two hardcore Maoists were killed and three others injured in an encounter with the police in Simdega district forest of Jharkhand. Police recovered seven rifles, one revolver, one pistol, one country-made gun and cartridges from the spot. Maoists, also known as Naxals, have killed police and politicians, and targeted government buildings and railway tracks in an insurgency that has killed thousands since 1960s.
