Police arrest two in connection with gang rape of nun in West Bengal
Kolkata, March 27 (ANI): The police arrested two men, from Mumbai and West Bengal respectively, in connection with the gang rape of a 75-year-old nun at a convent school. The first suspect identified as Mohammad Salim Sheikh was arrested from Mumbai on Wednesday night and has been flown to Kolkata city. The other man was arrested on Thursday near Kolkata for allegedly harbouring the gang that attacked the nun at her convent, informed Deputy Inspector General of CID (Operations), Dilip Adak. The gang rape of the 75-year-old nun in West Bengal sparked various protests from Christian community, who questioned their safety in the country. Meanwhile, Adak added Salim has been taken into 14-day police remand while the other person will be produced in court on Friday.
