People of Different faiths come together to seek blessings at annual urs of Sufi Saint Lal Din

Rajouri, April 21 (ANI): In the backdrop of lush mounds of the border district of Rajouri, a crowd of devotees had gathered, hearing a sermon by a head cleric. While the wind blows steadily in a cloudy weather, the priest throws light on the teaching of the saint, besides praying for peace and tranquility in the region. The crowd is celebrating the 36th Urs of the Sufi saint Lal Din, a revered figured held in high regard by his followers, belonging to different faiths. An annual affair to pay homage to the saint, the celebration witnesses people, coming from different parts of the state, praying and holding supplications to get their wishes granted. The celebrations go for three days in the foothills of the mountainous district, which is a 130 kilometre ride from the winter capital, Jammu. Men, women and children form part of the affair.
