Parrikar attends Territorial Army day parade in Delhi
New Delhi, Oct 09 (ANI): Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Friday attended Territorial Army day parade in Delhi which is invariably celebrated on the 9th Oct. The soldiers marched along the periphery of the Army parade ground situated in the Delhi cantonment area. A series of different tableaus was also seen during the parade which included BSF, Eco Task Force and et al. The Territorial Army in India (TA) is an organization of volunteers who receive military training for a few days in a year so that in case of an emergency they can be mobilized for the defence of the country. Meanwhile Parrikar expressed his accord regarding deploying women combat pilots in the Indian Air Force but also stated that operational bottlenecks could crop up.
