Pakistani Sikhs celebrate birth anniversary of Guru Ram Das
Lahore, Oct 10 (ANI): Pakistani Sikhs celebrated 480th birth anniversary of Guru Ram Das, the fourth spiritual master of the Sikhs. Guru Ram Das also known as Jetha ji was born in 1534 at Chuna Mandi, Lahore which is presently in the central province of Punjab in Pakistan. Scores of devotees thronged the temple called Gurdwara Janam Asthan Sri Guru Ram Das Ji in Lahore to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Ram Das which is considered very auspicious by the Sikhs. The devotees observed religious rituals. Officials from Punjab religious affairs department also participated in the ceremony. Khalid Ali, chief guest at the ceremony and official at Auqaf and religious affairs department, said the work of Guru Ram Das will be remembered long. Jaspal Singh, secretary general of Sikh Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee and chairman of Sikh Punjabi Sangat, greeted the whole Sikh community on Gurus's birth anniversary.
