Pachgaon becomes first Indian village with free Wi-Fi connection
Nagpur, July 05 (ANI): Pachgaon village in Maharashtra became the first village in the country to avail Wi-Fi connection free of cost, said Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. Gadkari had adopted Pachgaon village, which falls in his parliamentary constituency of Nagpur, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s model village scheme. At the event, Gadkari also launched development projects worth millions of rupees. Modi launched the 'digital week' on July 01 aimed to connect 250,000 villages in India by 2019 and to provide fast internet connections for all. Residents of Pachgaon were excited about the internet service. An e-library has been set up to help students get access to latest information and development.
