PM Modi interacts with Indologists in Tashkent, says common language binds strangers (Part - 1 )

Tashkent, July 07 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met and interacted with Indologists, Hindi language students and Indian community members in Uzbekistan capital city Tashkent. PM Modi said that a common language binds strangers who meet in a foreign land, adding that people-to-people contact is important as far as ties between nations are concerned. He further stated that language plays an important role in personality development and that it is a window to the immense amount of knowledge that it offers. The Prime Minister also said that he was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Uzbek President knows Indian songs. He also maintained that his trip to Uzbekistan was fruitful and full of good memories and hoped that the two nations will cultivate a great relationship. Prime Minister Modi, who arrived in Tashkent yesterday on the first leg of his eight-day tour to five central Asian countries and Russia, had said that India is looking forward to combating the menace along with Uzbekistan.
